VEGAS BABY

This video was taken during our trip to vegas... there was a show in the VENETIAN casino and as u can see Jenna totally enjoyed the show... she even took part in the magic show later which i didnt record coz i was was busy watcing her but our friend had recorded the second part of the video which i will upload later...At the end of the show Jenna got a gold coin.... candy from her... Sweet ... isnt it??

10 MONTH OLD MILESTONES

Yipee! Jenna turns 10 months today...in another 2 months ,she will be a year old.. can you believe it...??She is constantly on the go since she started walking...

She now weighs 22 pounds..

She says few words amma,abba,cat sounds like kaat,make sounds like kirr when asked how does the car go..?

She can wave bye bye and can sign come here...

Its been a month since she started walking and has completely forgotten crawling..

She makes sound like muuah when asked for kiss..

She loves home made Indian food and is not a fan of the jar food..

She loves to be around people everytime...

Nowadays,it is a challenge running behind her but i would never trade this life for anything..

JENNA AND THE SQUIRREL

I just love this video and wanted to share it with others. As you can see the squirrel is absolutely terrified of her, and you can see her signing to the squirrel to come by waving her hand.

WEEKEND WRAP-UP

We had a fun and frolicky weekend in the park.We packed our lunch and had it in the park,it was a beautiful day ,not too hot... Jenna usually cries when we allow her to walk in the park andlike everytime she did not want to get down but once she got used to the grass she started walking and did not stop unless she tripped and fell.. she was so tired walking that once we got into the car,she slept...We went to a botanical garden but unfortunately it was closed.. so we got back home..Yesterday we took Jenna to the pool,as usual she loved it and didnt want to get out of the pool.I really dont know how weekend flies...sigh!

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

This happened a few weeks ago and i wanted to write it here but it jus passed my mind, and another incident happened yesterday so i was reminded of the previous one too... let me start... if u had read my previous posts u would know Jenna says Amma a.k.a mom to me and Abba a.k.a dad to my hubby... so coming to the incident,as usual i put Jenna to sleep and put her in the bed and got up to leave the room,then Jenna suddenly puts her arm over my neck like she is hugging me and she is still sleeping and she says AMMA... I teared up only to get caught by my hubby who asked why are u crying ? But me being too chicken to say i cried said ''no i have a cold... : > and yesterday night she got up countless time in her sleep,crying and going back to bed again..so i was tired ,all of sudden i get up frantically,thinking Jenna crawled out of the bed and has fallen down ,only to see she is sleeping peacefully next to daddy.... so i go back to bed and the next minute,she gets up scared and is crying AMMA and searches for me... what can i say?the bond between a mom and baby exists even after the umblical cord is cut... nothing makes me more happy than being a MOM.

SHY ONE..

We have a shy person at home..no not me...i really dont what shy is.On the day of my marriage,all my cousins asked me to stop smiling and giggling at everyone and feel shy..uh oh!NOT ME!I CANT EVEN ACT LIKE I'M SHY. On the other hand my hubby ,was not even smiling and everyone was pulling my leg saying he is feeling sad since he is marrying you...not sure why he was dull but that is the question you have to ask him, coming to the shy one.. its Jenna...oh she sure doesnt have my gene on this one.. I have seen that if we go anywhere and people talk to her saying how cute and adorable she is ,she bends her head and starts smiling,looks at them and bends her head again,i m not sure she understand what they are saying but she sure does that..you really have to see to believe.

JENNA 'S FIRST HAIRCUT

Jenna had her first official haircut in the hair salon .The unofficial haircut was given by my hubby when she was four months old. If you have been following my blog you would find in all the photos Jenna having considerable amount of hair.After coming to India she started sweating a lot mostly in the back of her head ....so we thought of giving a haircut,we chose a hair salon because the last haircut given by my hubby was disastrous and i wouldnt want him touching her hair again. So we left to the salon and she sat in the salon chair and anyone who looked at her that time will think she was the best behaved baby in town but once the hair stylist kept the scissors on her head everything turned upside down... she screamed bloody murder and didnt coperate at all..the hair stylist did whatever she can in the little time she sat straight but she cut so much that i cannot even use the hair bows and clips on her head anymore.She looks so much like her dad now ,there are people asking me whether she is a boy,though she is dressed in pink and wears a hairband..(i dunno from when did boys started wearing pink??? )duh! I reallly get irritated when they ask me whether its a boy ,not that i dislike boys,i jus dont like people changing gender.. even if i had a boy i wouldnt want anyone calling him a girl... anyways her summer haircut is done and im planning not to cut her for the next one year atleast.

VACATIONING IN CHENNAI

Jamil s colleague described Chennai at its best in 3 words... HOT HOTTER HOTTEST.I agree... its not even May when Chennai is in its peak summer and its soaring high in April,not that Los angeles would be snowing in summer... but i was complaining just last year that L.A is hotter than Chennai, now i take back my words.. back in states u dont even sweat.. here its sultry all time. I dont know why i seem to complain now,after all i have been spending most of my lifetime here.I think an almost two years in a foreign country makes me whine ..... Coming to Jenna ,she used to sweat in u.s itself so now dont even ask?i thought babies dont sweat ,their sweat glands are still developing but she proved me wrong.. even when the air conditioner is on she seems to sweat in the back of her head so we are planning to give a haircut..On the other hand,relatives and friends are visiting everyday and Jenna doesnt seem to go much to them, i think stranger anxiety has set in.... she holds my shirt and doesnt want to let go off me when someone tries to carry her... i feel happy that she doesnt want to let go mommy but on the downside it would be nice if she mingles with everyone.BTW as i promised posting a pic of Jenna drinking water from her sippy... drinking 1 or 2 ounce of water in summer like chennai makes babies hydrated.
